How To Get To Illabunda
- After leaving Jindabyne take the turn off to Bullocks Flat. Park in the free car park at the Ski Tube Terminal at Bullocks Flat (snow chains may be required in extreme conditions). [There is no overnight parking at Perisher Valley, and the roads are closed up to Illabunda Lodge.]
- Take SkiTube to Perisher Valley Terminal. The train is very busy at peak times.
- Hans Oversnow (snow cat) will transport you to Lodge from the SkiTube terminal, or get some exercise and save some money by walking up - cross the creek over the right hand bridge, go through or around the Perisher Hotel on the right, and take a leisurely walk up the hill to the right of all ski-lifts to the lodge.
- Illabunda Ski Lodge is located on the slopes at Perisher Valley next to Telemark Lift.

Entry Doors
Ensure that you and your guests know in advance how to gain entry. Combination locks are used to secure front and rear doors of the Lodge. They require the input of a 4-digit code each time for entry. Press the C button prior to entering the code to clear the lock. You will receive the entry code from the Booking Officer a week or so before your booking period starts. Use the Winter access door at the back of the lodge.

On Arrival at Illabunda
- Normal check in time is 12 noon on the day of arrival, and guests do not have access to the bedrooms or upstairs common areas before this time. However, guests arriving early may leave their luggage in the Rumpus room if they wish. Note however that no access will be permitted to any area of the Lodge by incoming guests prior to 8 am, to prevent disturbing the current guests.
- Bookings include lunch on both the day of arrival and the day of departure.
- The only exception to the above is late arrival weekend booking where guests are not eligible for either lunch or dinner on the Friday. Such bookings are intended for people who travel to the Lodge on Friday evening. They commence 8pm on Friday evening and this start time will be strictly enforced at the Lodge.
- Enter Lodge through rear entrance (not top door) using code on combination lock (advised by the Booking Officer)
- Introduce yourself to lodge managers and look for your room allocation on the notice board outside the upstairs living room.

Lodge Managers
The managers are contractors to the Port Kembla Ski Club, and their responsibilities include fully catering three meals a day, and maintaining the Lodge. The managers are not servants or baby-sitters - do not create work for them. Do not expect them to clean up after you or discipline your children.
Lodge Captain
One guest is nominated to be Lodge Captain, who assists in ensuring your comfortable stay. The Lodge Captain represents the President at the Lodge. The Captain manages the duties roster, liaises with the Managers, sells soft drinks, etc, so see him/her with any queries.

Guest Duties
Guests are asked to assist in running the Lodge and may be assigned duties by the Lodge Captain. These are usually posted on the notice board. We ask guests to assist serving meals and clearing tables; clean, set and light the fire; and raise and lower flags as per roster. Guests are requested not to leave rubbish or empty glasses in common areas - there are bins for empty cans and bottle on the upstairs balcony, rubbish bins in the dining room, and glasses can be left on the servery counter. The Managers are not your slaves.
